Being Active to Stay Healthy
Everyone should engage in active sports to stay healthy and also be entertained. Few people now engage in sports as a form of physical activity to stay fit and this has caused an epidemic of obesity. There are now more obese people than at any time in human history. The availability of abundant food (due to improved agricultural practices) has shifted man's attention from finding food to consuming food (usually in unhealthy disproportionate amount) coupled with a sedentary lifestyle greatly contributed to this worsening public health concern.
An active lifestyle should be encouraged on everyone and this health consciousness is to be instilled even in children and start them on this path while still young. Many diseases today like diabetes, heart-related or cardiovascular issues and hypertension are due to people spending more time sitting at home or in the office than running or walking for exercise. An ingrained active lifestyle will persist throughout one's life when started while still young.
